On a collision course, they with them
Lost is the sense of “us”
They Bulls, and of course them Bulls too
May be I should call both horses with fly mask
Whatever, they on collision course with them
Collision strong enough, creating mayhem
As if the earthquake didn’t shake it enough
As if, them, pretentious, didn’t suffer enough
And them, blindfolded, few months old historic earthquake soon
turned into history
They, crippled, and them amputees still collide
Creating unforeseeable particles
Of course, they have to be “god particles”
The waves, generated from this collision
Strong enough to traverse from lowland to the peak in the
north
Casting a shadow on the history of camaraderie, and mutual
respect
Putting the existence at stakes, lives at stakes
And me…..
I remember my chest bulging out with pride
passionately listening when I was told we are a
common garden
The garden where all races can blossom
See…., I smiled then when I was taught about
Prithvi Narayan’s unification campaign
And prided on being under united land
And now… now I struggle to find myself among
“they” and “them”
While a tug of war goes on, I stand there in the
middle
Swaying in between sides, I keep floating confused
Dazzled by all these social tensions
They told me to grow up, and at the same time they
never told me the outcomes
Now I see the social tensions, in every day in
every society
And I do not know what to make out of mine
History sure does not seem to teach us anything
Or may be its more of our unwillingness to learn
anything
Or may be its more of them being them
And they…
They merely act without caring about consequences
Lives surely don’t matter
It’s a process of creating history, they claim
It’s a process of transforming society, they preach
While families are transformed…
Whether the transformation comes at the cost of
missing family members
Or missing body parts
Or wiping out entire society
Indeed, inevitable transformation
They, happy, chanting slogans
And them, shedding tears just like pouring water into
sand
And me…
still dazzled and confused….
Swaying with tug of war.
